Jersey Boys...Los Angeles

After 2 years on Broadway in Jersey Boys...my brother is now on the national tour of Jersey Boys. He's playing Nick Massi in the show. If you're in L. A. in the next week or so...you gotta see the show! It's fabulous! The show is only in L.A. until August 30th...

what does this mean? it means i get to talk about myself! i will tell you 8 things about me that you most likely don't know, and i will tag 8 lucky bloggers that will hopefully do the same.

1. i love candy...even though i will get a stomach ache if i eat too much...i do it anyway. my favorites...hot tamales...coconut jelly bellies...junior mints...

2. i have a degree in zoology and microbiology from colorado state university.

3. i was in 4-H for 11 years and raised sheep and guide dogs for the blind.

4. i use to race mountain bikes. i was a much faster downhiller than climber.

5. i am addicted to havaianas. i have 21 pairs. i wear them until it's just too cold outside and then i put on my uggs. and for the times when flip flops and uggs won't do...i love my sequin covered via spiga wedges!

6. my hubby and i lived in the caribbean for 2 years and then in england for 6 months. i miss the island.

7. i still dream that one day i will be a member of the u.s. olympic dressage team...i love riding!

8. i love calamari!

Introducing...Chubby

soft...sweet...smart...swift...nocturnal...

On my website, under my bio, it says that I am a mother to a fabulous ubermutt and a soft chinchilla. I have posted many images of my darling ubermutt, but have not yet introduced Chubby.
I can't believe I have not posted images of my Chubby yet! Maybe it's because he's nocturnal and sleeping in his house all day...I don't know. Here are some facts about the softest, sweetest, chinchilla in the world...

Chubby's ancestors are found in the Andes mountains in Chile...
Chinchillas live an average of 12-15 years...
Chinchillas have about 80 hairs per follicle...we have 1...
My Chubby is 7 1/2 years old...
I picked him out when he was 1 day old from Valley View Chinchilla Ranch...
I visited him on my lunchbreak from work and took him home 6 weeks later...
He loves raisins and dust baths and arm pit scratches...

Here he is, in all his softness!
