My Favorite Job!
So I was looking through some old photos and I found pictures that I just had to post. I use to be a zookeeper. I worked at the San Diego Wild Animal Park in the Infant Isolation Unit. I had to be at work at 5:30am and I didn't even care. It didn't feel like work at all. My day consisted of bottle feeding neonatal hoofstock. I worked with gazelles, antelopes, and even a rhino. I remember the day they called and offered me that job...I couldn't believe it. I'm so glad I have pictures to remember that fun time.
Here are some of the animals...
Slender-horned Gazelle
Kenyan Impala
Southern Gerenuk
DeFassa Waterbuck
African Elephant
I helped make the birthday cake for the baby elephant that was turning 1...
...which he destroyed within seconds!
Indian Rhino

The elephant trunk out the hole is the BEST. Did I ever tell you that "i" volunteered at our local zoo back in the day? I loved it too. Thanks for sharing the pics - they're cute (nice cake).
Nice cake, Er.
Erin,
Wow! You neglected to share this valuable info with us in Cabo, what a cool job!! Love the elephant trunk sticking out and also the one of you feeding the rhino. How many opportunities does one get like this huh?
